The Shepherd’s Story...

My own journey with understanding the human mind—and particularly ADHD—has been a fascinating one. It began with a genuine curiosity about how we think and learn; feel and interact with the world around us; interpret and understand relationships.
That curiosity blossomed into a deep compassion for the lived experiences of individuals, families, schools, workplaces, and communities impacted by ADHD.
Why ADHD? Why This Work?
I’ve learned that while life—and especially the ADHD experience—can sometimes feel like a big old tangled ball of wool, there’s an incredible amount of creativity, energy, and brilliance woven within.
That’s why I founded The Scatterbrain Shepherd. This is my little patch of the internet (and the real world!) where we can chat openly, share stories, and learn together.
It’s also why I created Cecil’s Yarns™ ADHD Event—to take this message on the road in a uniquely relatable way.

Charity We Support
Patty Duque supports La Fundación Evolución del Pensamiento (Evolution of Thought) assists underprivileged children in the hills above the city of Medellin in Colombia, South America. It was started in 2008 by a small group of people in Medellin who wished to help vulnerable children in their community. The Fundación is led by a couple named Dora and Marino who provide food, recreation, education and much needed love! They focus on playing, studying and above all to be happy with what they have. They learn to tackle life with a positive attitude and a smile on their face.
